Survey: Delhiites are most troubled by waterlogging, people of Noida-Ghaziabad said ‘no tension’

In the monsoon, rain is wreaking havoc in the plains as well as in the mountains. The problem of waterlogging is becoming increasingly severe in Delhi-NCR as well. The working population living in Delhi and NCR who rush to their homes and offices in the morning and evening are most troubled by this. Apart from this, this waterlogging is creating a big obstacle in the movement of people going out on the road for any work and everyone now has to spend more time on the roads to complete their journey.

In such a situation, a survey by Local Circles has claimed that 86 percent of people are forced to lose extra time in travel due to being stuck in traffic due to waterlogging. This is not only affecting the working capacity of people. Along with this, the maintenance cost of vehicles has also increased. Similarly, 71 percent of people are suffering financial loss due to missing flights, trains as well as other reasons.

Delhi is least prepared for monsoon!
In the Local Circles survey, 19 thousand people responded, of which 67 percent were men and 33 percent were women. People from Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad were included in the survey. According to the responses received in the survey, people have described Delhi as the least prepared for the monsoon season, while claims have been made that Noida and Ghaziabad are better prepared. Although Noida and Ghaziabad may seem better than Delhi in comparison, but it is common to see waterlogging in many areas here as soon as it rains.

62% people of Gurugram are angry with the authorities
92% of the people of Delhi-NCR surveyed say that during the monsoon season, the Delhi Municipal Corporation, water and transport related authorities did not make preparations to deal with waterlogging, while only 62% of the people of Gurugram think so while only 38% of the people of Noida and Ghaziabad think so. At the same time, 46% of the people of Faridabad believe that the city authorities did not make preparations for the monsoon.

In the survey, different questions were asked to the people of Delhi-NCR and according to the 9 thousand 758 answers received, 86 percent of the people faced one or more problems during monsoon while 14 percent of the people did not face any kind of problem during rain. On the other hand, 9 thousand 694 answers were received on the questions asked about the monsoon preparations of the authorities in which the people of Delhi appeared to be the most angry.
