Sultanpur encounter: ‘Hooliganism is in the DNA of SP’, Brajesh Pathak’s retort to Akhilesh’s questions

Politics has heated up over the encounter that took place in Sultanpur on Thursday. After Akhilesh Yadav raised questions, now the state’s Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has targeted the previous SP government. He said that when the SP was in power, the criminals looted the people of the state with the help of the government.

‘Our policy on crime is zero tolerance’

Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said, ‘Promoting hooliganism and anarchy is in the DNA of the Samajwadi Party. Whenever the SP has been in power, criminals have looted the people of the state with the support of the government, looted the dignity of daughters-in-law and daughters.’

Brajesh Pathak alleged that Samajwadi Party encourages criminals. Our government is committed to adopting zero tolerance policy on crime and will eliminate criminals from the state at any cost.

SP raised questions on the encounter

On the other hand, SP leader Shivpal Yadav said on the Sultanpur encounter, ‘The government should answer these incidents. Questions are being raised, answers should be given. Questions are being raised on the encounter. The investigation should be proper.

Earlier, Akhilesh Yadav had targeted the UP government over the Sultanpur encounter. Without naming anyone, he alleged that other accused in the robbery case were shot in the leg, but Mangesh Yadav, who had an encounter with the police this morning, was killed. Akhilesh alleged that the life was taken on the basis of ‘caste’.

Fugitive miscreant with bounty of Rs 1 lakh killed

On Thursday morning, a fugitive criminal with a bounty of Rs 1 lakh was killed in an encounter with the STF in Sultanpur. This encounter took place on Hanumanganj bypass of Dehat Kotwali. The slain criminal Mangesh Yadav was one of the main accused in the robbery at a jeweler’s shop. During the encounter, one of his accomplices escaped from the spot.
