A video of the incident is rapidly going viral on social media. A man named Jason Hornung shared a video on Instagram in which it is seen that a wooden house located at a short distance from the sea was engulfed by the advancing sea waves. Within no time, the two-floor house was submerged in water. People making the video screamed after seeing the scene.
This is the seventh house to be washed away by the sea in the last four years in this area. The video has sparked a debate on social media, where many say that the incident could have been prevented instead of watching the spectacle. In the viral clip posted on Instagram, people were seen screaming as the sea flooded in. Within minutes, the structure underneath the house collapses. Then half of the first floor of the house sank into the sea.
According to reports, no one was in the house during this time and the people around were also safe. The video has received about 1.7 million views on social media. Under the viral video, people started giving their opinion on the power of the sea. A user has questioned the person behind the camera why he did not save the house instead of making a film.
Many people questioned why someone would build a house so close to the sea. The second part of the video has also been shared on Instagram, which shows the structure floating further into the sea. Every time a new wave comes, the house moves a little further away.
