Dinesh Vijan’s latest film from the horror universe ‘Stree 2’ continues to rule the theatres. This film, which has been entertaining the audience since day one, got the ‘Housefull’ boards removed from the theatres during the weekend, which were last removed last year.
Not only in metro cities like Delhi-Mumbai, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao’s film is attracting huge crowds in small towns and cities as well. The wonder of this love that the film is getting is that its earnings are continuously increasing at a tremendous pace. Now the figures show that in 7 days, the earnings of ‘Stree 2’ are close to crossing two new landmarks.
The pace of earning remained strong even on the 7th day
‘Stree 2’ got the benefit of Raksha Bandhan on Monday and on Monday, which became a speed breaker in the pace of films, the film earned more than Friday. The film, which faced its first working day on Tuesday, once again showed that its pace is not going to slow down for the next few days. And on Wednesday, the film came close to crossing two big landmarks.
With Rs 26.80 crore on Tuesday, the collection of ‘Stree 2’ had crossed Rs 269 crore. Now trade reports show that the film’s success continued on Wednesday as well and it has earned around Rs 20 crore on the 7th day. That means after the final figures of the collection are revealed, the net India collection of ‘Stree 2’ will reach close to Rs 290 crore.
A big record will be made on Thursday
So far, the highest grossing Hindi film of 2024 is Prabhas’ ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, whose lifetime net collection was 293 crores. ‘Stree 2’, which has reached 290 crores from Wednesday’s earnings, will become the biggest Hindi film of this year before noon on Thursday. With this, the India collection of ‘Stree 2’ will also cross the 300 mark.
In 6 days, the worldwide gross collection of ‘Stree 2’ had crossed Rs 370 crore and after Wednesday, this figure will be very close to 400 crore. If in the final collection, ‘Stree 2’ does not reach 400 crores with Wednesday’s earnings, then it is certain that the film will do this feat from the first shows on Thursday morning.
The biggest Indian film in 2024 is ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ whose worldwide collection is close to Rs 1200 crore. After this, the Telugu industry film ‘Hanuman’ was at second place with a gross collection of 350 crores. But now ‘Stree 2’ has also become the second biggest Indian film of this year. This weekend, the target of ‘Stree 2’ will be to reach the mark of 500 crores.
