‘Stree 2’ created history, broke the records of all blockbuster films on the second Sunday, crossed 400 crores

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao’s film ‘Stree 2’ has become the biggest Bollywood film of this year in just one week. But this blockbuster film is in no mood to take a breather, rather in the second week, ‘Stree 2’ has done such a miracle at the box office that no Bollywood film has been able to do.

‘Stree 2’, which is running in its second week, has earned on its second Sunday what no Bollywood blockbuster has been able to do. In just 11 days, Shraddha and Rajkumar’s film has crossed a huge landmark at the box office.

All time record made on Sunday
‘Stree 2’ made a huge jump on Saturday and collected Rs 33.80 crore nett and its total nett collection reached Rs 361 crore. On Sunday, the film once again took a big jump and the number of audiences kept increasing in its shows. SACNILC estimates say that ‘Stree 2’ earned Rs 44 crore on Sunday.

This figure may increase a little more in the final trade reports. With this, Shraddha and Rajkumar’s latest blockbuster film has comfortably crossed the 400 crore mark at the Indian box office. Now the total net collection of ‘Stree 2’ has exceeded Rs 401 crore.

Till now, the record of highest collection on second Sunday was in the name of ‘Gadar 2’. Sunny Deol’s film had a net collection of 39 crores at the box office on the second Sunday. ‘Bahubali 2’ with 34.5 crores and Shahrukh Khan’s Jawaan with 34.2 crores were next. But ‘Stree 2’ has broken the record of all these films by earning 44 crores at the box office on the second Sunday.

Fastest to 400 crore
Last year, there was a race among Bollywood films to cross the 500 crore mark. Pathan, Jawaan, Gadar 2 and Animal gave record-breaking business to Bollywood back to back last year. Out of these, Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Jawaan’ and Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ crossed the 400 crore mark the fastest.

Both these films crossed 400 crores in 11 days. While ‘Jawan’ collected more than 430 crores in 11 days, ‘Animal’ earned 401 crores in the same number of days. ‘Stree 2’ has matched these big films and the film’s collection has crossed 401 crores in 11 days.

Not only in India, the business of ‘Stree 2’ is going strong in the overseas market as well. Till Saturday, the gross collection of the film in India had reached Rs 426 crore and Rs 78.5 crore in foreign countries. That means in 10 days, the worldwide gross of the film had reached Rs 505 crore. If we add the Sunday estimates, then in 11 days, ‘Stree 2’ has earned more than Rs 560 crore worldwide.
