Stopping the farmers’ movement was dictatorship, what is crushing the Nabbanna protest? Will Mamata Banerjee explain?

Delhi is the capital of the country. Parliament is here where elected representatives of the people of the whole country come. Supreme Court is here, Red Fort is here, a symbol of Indian sovereignty. But when iron girders were installed as barricades to prevent the entry of farmer agitators into the capital, some people in the country felt that the Narendra Modi government at the centre has become a dictator. Many people argued that in Indian democracy everyone has the right to raise their voice, the government is stopping the farmers from raising their voice.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and many other leaders of her party were among those who appealed for Indian democracy. The 2020 farmers’ movement was supported, and in June this year, Mamata Banerjee had reached with her five MPs to support the farmers who were blocking the highway coming from Punjab to Delhi. She had assured them that you people keep the road blocked, we are with you. But unfortunately, today in Kolkata, those who raised such voices in support of those raising voice for Doctor Bitiya are missing. On Tuesday, Howrah Bridge has been blocked with iron girders, calling the students’ NABBANNA protest against the Kolkata rape case illegal.

Stopping the farmers’ protest is unconstitutional, how is demanding justice for the doctor daughter illegal?

The Constitution lovers of the entire country, those raising the slogan of Save the Constitution, are not able to see that it has become illegal to find the culprits of the rape and murder of a daughter and to demand justice. Now no one is coming forward and saying whether the protesting students are terrorists? Whereas those pleading for justice in Kolkata do not even have tractors designed like armored cannons. But the security of Kolkata has become more important than Delhi. Six thousand policemen have been deployed on the streets of Kolkata. The walls built to stop the student protesters in Kolkata are in no way less than the barricades built to protect Delhi from farmers.

Neither Greta, Rihanna and Mia Khalifa came for Doctor Bitiya, nor did Swara’s voice come out!

It is such a matter of shame that now the demand for justice and rights in the country has become different for everyone. The meaning of justice is different for BJP in the whole country and different for parties like Congress and TMC. Justice for farmers is justice, justice for Doctor Bitiya is a BJP conspiracy. A conspiracy was hatched to get international support through a toolkit to support the farmers’ movement. International pop singer Rihanna, porn star Mia Khalifa and environmentalist Greta Thunberg supporting the farmers’ movement was part of this conspiracy. If their support was not part of any conspiracy, then why is there no support of any celebrity in the rights of the students today? Leave aside foreign celebrities, even the voices of leaders like Swara Bhaskar have become faint. All those voices which used to be active during the farmers’ movement are silent today.

Is it insulting to call the farmers’ movement Khalistani? Is it Sanghi mentality to demand justice for the daughter?

During the farmers’ protest, some organizations were seen sitting on a dharna in Delhi which have been accused of having a soft corner for Khalistan. This is the reason why some people called this movement a movement of Khalistanis. However, it is also true that not all farmers’ organizations were like this. On this basis, it cannot be justified to call everyone Khalistani. But the thing to think about is that just as farmers can feel bad on being called Khalistani, is it not insulting to call the student agitators who are demanding justice for the rape victim’s family as Sanghi, RSS or BJP. TMC spokesperson Riju Dutta is openly saying that the agitators are Sanghi and BJP.

TMC leader Kunal Ghosh says that BJP, CPM, Congress are all the same. BJP is doing Nabanna Abhiyan, Congress is supporting it. Whatever CPM says, but they are all talking about going on protest platform. Ram-Left are all coming together to create chaos against TMC.

Police is ready to do anything to suppress the Nabanna campaign

Kolkata Police has gone to any level to make the Nabanna Abhiyan unsuccessful. Water cannons and tear gas are being used on the protesters, the police has also done mild lathi charge. This is when the main roads have been blocked with containers. Barricades have been put up at a total of 19 points. There is a 3-layer security cordon of Kolkata Police and Howrah City Police outside the Nabanna building. Aluminum barricades have been erected at 5 places at different important places. Kolkata Police said that more than 6000 policemen will be deployed in the city in view of the ‘Nabanna Abhiyan’. Howrah Bridge has been sealed. An iron wall has been erected on the bridge and it has been greased with Mobil so that no one can climb it.
