Stock Market Crash: Such chaos in the market today… 10 lakh crores wiped out in minutes, these 10 stocks scattered like a pack of cards

The Indian stock market was in a state of panic on Monday due to the fear of recession in the US. While the 30-share Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange fell by 1500 points to below 80,000, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange also fell by about 500 points. In the midst of this huge fall, the stock market investors lost about Rs 10 lakh crore in just minutes.

Today is ‘Black Monday’ for the stock market
The stock market opened badly on Monday 5 August amid weak global cues. BSE Sensex opened at 79,671.48 with a fall of 1,310.47 points or 1.62 percent, while Nifty opened at 24,313.30, falling 404.40 points or 1.64 percent. With the opening of the market, while 2368 stocks registered a sharp decline, about 442 stocks saw a rise. This initial decline in both the market indices increased further within a few minutes. At 9.20 am, the Sensex fell 1,585.81 points or 1.96% to reach the level of 79,396.14, while Nifty slipped 499.40 points or 2.02% to reach the level of 24,218.30.

So much money was lost in one stroke
Due to this fall in the stock market, investors have suffered huge losses. On one hand, investors had to suffer a loss of about Rs 4 lakh crore due to the market crash last Friday, while on Monday, investors lost about Rs 10 lakh crore in just a few minutes.

If we look at the BSE Market Cap, when the market closed last Friday, it was Rs 457.16 lakh crore, but when the Sensex fell by more than 1500 points, the market capitalization of BSE fell to Rs 446.92 lakh crore in one go. According to this, investors have suffered a loss of Rs 10.24 lakh crore.
