Sticker Mule Faces Boycott After Sending Pro-Trump Email to Customers

Following the failed assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, Sticker Mule, a popular custom sticker printing company, sent an email to its customers expressing support for Trump and calling for an end to political animosity. However, this move has backfired, angering many customers and leading to calls for a boycott of the company’s services.

In the email, co-founder Anthony Constantino acknowledged the attack on Trump and voiced his concern over what he perceived as excessive hatred towards Trump and his supporters. He stated that “the hate for Trump and his supporters has gone too far” and that “people are terrified to admit they support Trump.” Constantino also revealed that he has been afraid to voice his own support for Trump in the past.

Sticker Mule’s pro-Trump email blast angers customers, sparks calls for boycott

The email went on to offer customers a discount on personalized t-shirts, suggesting they buy ones that show support for Trump. However, many customers found this inappropriate, arguing that it was wrong to mix political views with business promotions.

The backlash was swift, with numerous customers taking to social media to express their displeasure. Some threatened to stop using Sticker Mule’s services, while others called the email “embarrassing” and “absolute insanity.”

One customer, Olive & York, a custom apparel company, revealed that they had spent over $17,000 with Sticker Mule in the past two years but would now be taking their business elsewhere. They criticized the company for “doubling down by emailing everyone they should buy Trump gear, in an email blast titled ‘Trump 2024.'”

The controversy has also caught the attention of the wider public, with the X post (formerly Twitter) featuring Constantino’s message being viewed by over 8.3 million users and receiving thousands of comments and shares. While some have rallied in support of Sticker Mule, the majority of the reaction has been negative, with many accusing the company of being irresponsible and hypocritical for promoting political views on a business platform.

As a result of the backlash, Sticker Mule has reportedly lost around 20,000 followers on Instagram, and at least one competitor, Sticker Giant, has attempted to capitalize on the situation by emphasizing their commitment to free speech and self-expression without hate speech.

In conclusion, Sticker Mule’s decision to send a pro-Trump email to its customers has backfired, leading to widespread anger and calls for a boycott. The company’s attempt to mix political views with business promotions has been widely criticized as inappropriate and irresponsible, and it remains to be seen how the controversy will ultimately impact the company’s reputation and bottom line.
