Status like the real one, a gleaming Innova car and partnership in a hotel… this is how a fake IPS officer was cheating people in Gujarat!

Police have arrested a fake IPS in Surat, Gujarat. Police say that the arrested accused was duping people by posing as an IPS in the name of giving them partnership in a hotel run by the Gujarat government. His photos wearing IPS uniform have also been found from his mobile. This accused used to roam around in a white Innova car with Gandhinagar passing. Police have seized his Innova.

According to the information, Surat’s Kamrej police station has caught fake IPS Pradeep Baldev Patel. Two cases have been registered against him so far. Police has taken him on police remand for 5 days.

Pradeep Baldev Patel was cheating people by posing as an IPS officer. He used to travel in a white Innova car with Gandhinagar passing, due to which people got duped by him. His status was no less than that of a real IPS officer.

Police say that Pradeep had deceived a businessman named Sameer, who lives in Sangli, Maharashtra, by telling him that a Gujarat Tourism hotel is being built on the highway in Kamrej area of ​​Surat and he will be given a 30 percent share in it. Pradeep had duped him of Rs 25 lakh by saying this. He was reluctant to return the money. When Sameer got suspicious of Pradeep, he contacted the Kamrej police of Surat.

When Kamrej police investigated Pradeep Baldev Patel, he turned out to be a fake IPS. After this, the police filed an FIR against him and arrested him.

Surat Rural Police DYSP RR Sarvaiya said that the fake IPS officer caught from Surat used to cheat people in the name of giving partnership in the hotel of Gujarat government. Sameer, a resident of Sangli Maharashtra, has registered a case against Pradeep in Kamrej Police Station of Surat Rural Police.

Sameer has stated in the FIR that Pradeep had extorted Rs 25 lakh from him. It is possible that the accused has cheated many people. Rs 20 lakh 50 thousand were extorted from Kaushik Gajera, who lives in Kamrej area, in the name of giving him partnership in Gujarat Tourism Hotel. Kaushik has also filed a case. There are many other people who have become victims of this accused’s fraud, who are contacting the police.
