State GST raids on slaughter factory in Unnao, claims of tax evasion worth crores, raids going on for more than 24 hours

The State GST team has been raiding a slaughter house factory in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh for more than 24 hours. It is being claimed that tax evasion worth crores of rupees has been done in the factory. Information about this was being received for the last several days. Regarding which, the State GST team of Lucknow conducted a raid on Wednesday night. Officers and security personnel have reached the factory in a total of three vehicles for the raid. The security personnel have closed all the gates of the factory. Along with this, movement to and from the factory has also been stopped and the phones of the employees have also been confiscated.

The raids have been going on since 8 pm on Wednesday

According to the information, Wasiratganj Mass Agro Foods Limited has a factory in Dahi police station area. Lucknow’s State GST team raided the factory at around 8 pm on Wednesday night. Since then, raids are being conducted continuously. GST team officials have closed all the gates of the slaughter house factory from inside. Also, people have been banned from going out of the factory. At the same time, no one is being allowed to come inside from outside.

GST team confiscated the phones of employees

GST sources said that the officials have confiscated the mobile phones of all the employees present in the factory. Also, the officials have switched off the phones of some employees. As soon as the team reached the factory on Wednesday night, the factory manager was in a panic. In the office inside the factory, GST officials have started a thorough investigation of all the necessary documents.

Sources say that the team has also seized the hard disk of the computer. However, GST officials have maintained a distance from the media in this entire matter.
