The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the SSC MTS Recruitment 2024 for 8326 Multi-Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) and Havildar positions in various government departments and offices. The online application process will begin on June 27, 2024, and the last date to apply is July 31, 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Class 10 examination (matriculation) from a recognized board or institution.
- Age Limit: The age of the candidate should be between 18 to 25 years for MTS and 27 years for Havildar positions as on August 1, 2023. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government norms.
Application Fee
The application fee for SSC MTS Recruitment 2024 is ₹100/- for General and OBC candidates. However, women candidates and those from SC, ST, PwBD, and ESM categories are exempted from paying the application fee.

Selection Process
The selection process will consist of a Computer-Based Test (CBT) in July-August 2024. The exam will be of 90 minutes duration with 90 questions carrying a total of 270 marks. There will be no negative marking in Session 1, while -1 mark will be given for each incorrect answer in Session 2.

- General Awareness

Salary and Benefits
The selected candidates will be appointed in the Pay Level 1 (₹18,000 – ₹56,900) of the 7th Central Pay Commission. They will also be entitled to other benefits such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, and medical benefits as per government rules.
