It will take four to five days for the postal department to deliver Rakhis to the northeastern states.
Coloured boxes will be installed in five cities
This year the festival of Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated on 19th August. The Indian Postal Department has made special preparations for this. According to media reports, the Postal Department will deliver Rakhi, sandalwood and Akshat to any part of the world in six days. Special envelopes have been prepared for sending abroad. Apart from this, 20-20 colored boxes will also be installed in the main post offices of five big cities of Bihar. These will be installed in Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur and Darbhanga. The Rakhis put in them will be delivered to their destination.
Special duty for the delivery of Rakhi
This time, Rakhi will be delivered even on holidays. Actually, the postal department has decided to run Rakhi special sets in all districts. In which, employees will have special duty from two days before Raksha Bandhan to the day of Rakhi, even after the holiday. Delivery of Rakhis will be ensured even on holidays.
