‘Sound from sunroof, defective camera…’ actress files 50 crore lawsuit against car company

Bollywood actress Rimi Sen is reportedly currently upset with many problems in her luxury SUV. It is reported that the actress has filed a lawsuit of Rs 50 crore against car manufacturing company Land Rover. According to reports, Rimi Sen bought a luxury SUV from Land Rover for Rs 92 lakh in the year 2020. Now many technical faults are being seen in the sunroof, sound system, screen and rear-end camera of this SUV, for which the actress has filed a lawsuit against the company.

According to a TOI report, the actress in her complaint has accused Land Rover of mental harassment regarding car-related repairs. It is being told that she bought this car from Satish Motors Private Limited, which is an authorized dealer of Jaguar Land Rover. However, after she bought this SUV, there was a lockdown due to the COVID-19 epidemic. Due to which she did not use the car much. Now when she is using it, she is reportedly facing technical problems in the car.

According to media reports, the actress claimed in her complaint that on August 25, 2022, the car collided with a pole due to a faulty rear-end camera. She had also informed the dealer about this. After which evidence was sought from her. The actress says that after this the problems in the car started. Many technical flaws started coming out one after the other.

The legal notice filed by Sen claims that there are flaws in both the car manufacturing and its service and maintenance by the authorized dealer. The actress says that the car has been sent for repairs more than ten times, yet the situation remains the same. Due to which she is facing mental harassment and a lot of inconvenience. The actress has sought compensation of Rs 50 crore for mental harassment, as well as an additional amount of Rs 10 lakh for legal expenses. She has also demanded money in place of the defective car.

However, no official comment has been made by Land Rover in this matter yet.
