A heartbreaking incident of gang rape has come to light in Hyderabad. Here a 24-year-old software engineer has been gang-raped by two people including her childhood friend. Based on the complaint of the victim girl, the police have registered a case against the accused.
The police has taken the victim to the hospital for medical examination. Efforts are being made to catch the accused, who are said to be absconding since the incident. People are shocked after hearing about this incident which has shamed the relationship of friendship. There is a demand for the immediate arrest of the accused.
In the complaint lodged at the police station, it is said that the girl from Vanasthalipura has got a job in a software company. To celebrate this, she had gone to a party with her childhood friend Gautam Reddy at a hotel near Hyderabad-Vijayawada Highway in Omkar Nagar at 7.30 pm on July 29.
After going to the bar, the victim and the accused drank a lot. After this, when both of them got extremely drunk, his friend took her to a hotel room. He raped her there. After he came out, her cousin went to the room, he also made her a victim of his lust.
After the intoxication wore off, the victim found herself in a semi-nude state. Seeing the accused in the room, she started screaming. Hearing her voice, the hotel staff reached there, by then the accused had fled from there. After this, the victim called her brother and told him about her ordeal. The brother took her to the police station.
ACP Kasireddy said that based on the complaint, a case has been registered in Vanasthalipuram police station. The police is searching for the main accused Gautam Reddy and his cousin living in Hayat Nagar Lecturers Colony. They will be arrested and interrogated and strict action will be taken.
