A small plane carrying two people crashed into a row of townhouses Saturday morning in a residential area of Fairview, not far from Portland International Airport and Troutdale Airport. in OregonOfficials confirmed.
The plane’s passengers and a resident of the townhouse were killed in the crash, the Associated Press reported, citing a local station. Katu-TVreport.
One person was reported missing from the townhouse the plane crashed into, Gresham Fire Chief Scott Lewis told reporters earlier. Neighbors living in nearby townhouses have been evacuated.
“The plane hit a power pole and so it looks like the impact caused some pieces of the plane to fall off, like I said, there’s actually two crash areas, so to speak, and debris all around. “Multnomah County. Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer John Plock said.

Videos shared on social media showed large plumes of fire and smoke that could be seen high above the tree line in Fairview.
The twin-engine Cessna 421C went down around 10:30 a.m., the FAA said.
Gresham Fire said on Facebook that it responded with the help of other agencies, including The Port of Portland, Portland Fire and Rescue and Clackamas Fire.
The plane came closer, smaller Troutdale AirportWhich describes itself as a “flight training and recreational airport”.
Officials have not confirmed there are any injuries or deaths.
Thousands of residents in the area were left without power after the pole fell, officials said.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate.
