Sitapur: 12-year-old boy kidnapped and murdered, body thrown in the canal, three accused arrested

A 12-year-old boy who was kidnapped in Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh was murdered and his body was thrown into the Sharda canal in Lakhimpur Kheri district. The family of the deceased child created a ruckus in the police station accusing the police of negligence and blocked the Sakran-Sitapur road. The police have arrested all four accused in the case and during interrogation they also confessed their crime.

Additional Superintendent of Police Prakash Kumar said that 12-year-old Shivansh, a resident of Sirkida village in the Sakran police station area of ​​the district, had gone missing. On September 3, Shivansh’s uncle Shubham Mishra had lodged a complaint in the local police station and suspected two people of the village. On Thursday, the news of the boy’s murder was received.

17 year old boy kidnapped and murdered

After investigation, the police detained Rinku Mishra (22) of Sirkida village, Ankur Trivedi (25), Puneet Shukla (20) of Laharpur Kotwali area and a 12-year-old boy from Gulriya village in Lakhimpur Kheri district. During interrogation, the suspects confessed to kidnapping Shivansh for ransom and killing him when they did not get the money and throwing his body in the Sharda canal.

Police arrested three accused

Additional Superintendent of Police Prakash Kumar said that the car used in the kidnapping has been recovered. The body is being searched with the help of local divers and police. As soon as the news of the child’s murder was received, there was mourning among the family members. Also, the family members of the deceased created a ruckus in the local police station, accusing the police of negligence.
