‘Should we have garlanded Afzal Guru?’, Rajnath Singh targets Omar Abdullah

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has targeted National Conference leader Omar Abdullah’s statement in Ramban, Jammu, in which he said that terrorist Afzal Guru should not be hanged. The Defence Minister said that I want to ask Omar Abdullah whether we should garland Afzal Guru publicly.

Actually, Rajnath Singh had come to address an election rally in Ramban, Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. Where he targeted National Conference leader Omar and said that I heard that National Conference leader Omar Abdullah sahab said that Afzal Guru should not have been hanged. I want to ask him that Afzal Guru should not have been hanged, should he have been garlanded publicly? … Form a government here too, seeing the development here, the people of PoK will say that we do not want to live with Pakistan, we want to go with India … We consider the people of PoK as our own, come and join us. I have received information, some fencing work is going on on the border, that work of fencing the border will also be completed.

‘Kashmir’s youth have laptops and computers in their hands’

The Defence Minister also said that the National Conference with which the Congress party has formed an alliance has said in its election manifesto that they will restore Article 370. No one has the courage to restore Article 370. Jammu and Kashmir which was earlier known as a place of terrorism has now become a tourist destination. Earlier, many youths in the Kashmir Valley used to have pistols and revolvers in their hands. Go and see the change today, they do not have pistols and revolvers in their hands, instead you will see laptops and computers. This is a huge change. There has not been a single incident of stone pelting after 2022. As long as the Bharatiya Janata Party is in India, no one can restore Article 370.”
