On Monday afternoon, a shooting occurred at NorthPark Mall in Davenport, Iowa, prompting a large police response. According to reports, a Davenport Police officer working off-duty at the mall reported gunshots shortly before 4:30 p.m.
Multiple agencies, including the Davenport Police Department, Scott County Sheriff’s Office, and Iowa State Patrol, responded to the scene. Some officers were seen carrying rifles as they secured the area around the mall.
One person was injured in the shooting and transported to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries is currently unknown.

The mall was placed on lockdown as authorities searched for any additional suspects or victims. Shoppers and employees were evacuated from the building as the investigation unfolded.
