Sex racket busted in Palghar, police rescued 4 women

Police has busted a sex racket in Virar of Palghar district of Maharashtra. Police has arrested two women involved in running this racket. Four women have also been rescued from here. Police has registered a case against the accused under the Indian Justice Code and Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. This matter is being investigated.

A police officer said that secret information was received that immoral prostitution was going on in a house in Virar. After this information, the Anti Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of Mira Bhayander-Vasai Virar Police Commissionerate formed a team. A police team was formed under the leadership of AHTC Inspector Saurabhi Pawar, which was given the responsibility of conducting the raid.

The police team raided the marked house and arrested two women. It is alleged that prostitution was being run under the supervision of these two women. They have been identified as Nirmala Rajput (55) and Usha Kalambe (42). Along with this, the police have freed four women who were being forced into prostitution. Police investigation is ongoing.

Let us tell you that a few years ago, the police had busted a big sex racket in Palghar district. The local crime branch, police and the rural police of Vasai raided two different places and rescued 10 women including four girls. Four people including a woman were arrested. Four male accused used to work as brokers in this racket.

Police had said that the first raid was conducted at Panchvati Hotel on Ambadi Road in Vasai. From here, 34-year-old Priya Parmar was arrested on charges of pushing girls into prostitution. It is alleged that Priya used to lure and entice girls into prostitution. In this raid, 5 women including 4 minor girls were rescued.

A police officer had said that the second raid was carried out in the Satavali area of ​​the district. Here the police arrested Shahnawaz Rehman Khan (40), Sajid Iqbal Khan (39) and Deepak Valmiki (30) on charges of forcing women into prostitution. All the accused were residents of Mumbai. The police had registered a case against the accused under various sections.
