Setback to Muslim side in Mathura Krishna Janmabhoomi case, Allahabad High Court rejects petition

The Allahabad High Court has given an important verdict in the famous Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah case of Mathura. In this case, the Hindu side had filed 18 petitions and said that the land of Shahi Idgah Mosque belonged to the Hindus. Along with this, the Hindu side had also demanded the right to worship there.

After the petition of the Hindu side, the Muslim side had demanded the dismissal of the petitions of the Hindu side citing the Place of Worship Act, Wakf Act, Limitation Act and Specific Possession Relief Act. But the Allahabad High Court has rejected the petition of the Muslim side. That means now 18 petitions of the Hindu side will be heard together in the Allahabad High Court.

Let us tell you that in the petitions filed by the Hindu side, the land of Shahi Idgah Mosque was said to be of Hindus and they demanded the right to worship there. On the other hand, the Muslim side had argued for the dismissal of the petitions of the Hindu side citing the Place of Worship Act, Waqf Act, Limitation Act and Specific Possession Relief Act.

Earlier, after the completion of the hearing on June 6, the High Court had reserved the decision. Actually, 18 petitions were filed by the Hindu side. At the same time, the Muslim side raised questions on the maintainability of these petitions under Order 7 Rule 11 and appealed for their dismissal.

Today was a very important day for both the parties. Today, the decision has come on a total of 18 petitions related to Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah. Petitions were filed regarding the maintainability of the civil suit filed by Lord Shri Krishna Virajman Katra Keshav Dev and seven others. After that, Shahi Idgah Mosque Committee and Sunni Central Waqf Board also filed petitions in Allahabad High Court under Order 7, Rule 11 of CPC.
