Server in Ranchi, office in Nepal and registered company… mastermind sitting in Delhi was running the fraud racket

An office of a company named Medi Assist was opened by renting a flat in Hetauda, ​​just 60 km from Raxaul in Bihar. It was being said that online medical consultation would be given here. The company was registered to open the office, but something else was going on here under the guise of health consultation. People were being cheated online here. The mastermind of this racket was running the gang sitting in Delhi.

Hetauda SP Sitaram Rijal said that information was received that some boys from outside were doing illegal activities in the flat. After this, 12 boys were caught by raiding. SP said that the youths caught are from Bihar and Jharkhand, one or two youths are from Delhi. Online fraud was happening here in the name of health service consultation.

Police said that a company named ‘MediaAssist’ was registered in Nepal in the name of Delhi resident Dravin Kumar Singh. Police said that three people including the mastermind of this fraud gang are absconding. SP Rijal said that here fraud was being done in the name of online gambling, online betting, online money transfer by luring gifts and in the name of cryptocurrency in the name of consultation. The employees of this company were told that they would be paid from Rs 18 thousand per month to Rs 50 thousand per month, but no such record was found.

Initial investigation revealed that this fraud business was being run through ‘Quick Call Client Software’ by installing the main server in the head office located in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Through this software, the target was identified and its information was being sent from Nepal to Ranchi. The victims of fraud were not only citizens of Nepal but also citizens of some other countries including India. During the raid, 13 mobile phones, 7 laptops, 3 routers, 1 hard disk, 1 web cam, 2 paper stamps made in the name of the director of Medi Assist were found.

SP said that this company was registered in the Company Registrar Office of Hetauda on 22 February 2024. In the document of the company named Medi Assist, it was said that it would provide medical consultation. 12 people were working in it. All are citizens of India. They were sent to Nepal for a job, but none of them has any appointment letter. All of them belong to this company, it has no identity.

The salary of the company’s employees was shown to be between 18 thousand and 50 thousand rupees, but no proof or transaction record of this has been found anywhere. All of them were running their offices here in a luxurious manner. They were living in flats. According to the account of their expenses, their expenditure appears to be more than 15 lakh rupees per month. There is no record of where so much money came from. There is no record of where their salaries were paid from.
