Cases of Mpox virus are increasing rapidly in many countries of the world. So far 4 cases have been reported in neighboring country Pakistan. Meanwhile, the Serum Institute of India says that they are working on a vaccine for Mpox. Serum Institute CEO Adar Poonawalla said, ‘In view of the global health emergency declared due to the outbreak of Mpox, we are working on developing a vaccine to help millions of people. Hopefully within a year we will have good news related to this.’ Let us tell you that Serum Institute had developed the corona vaccine.
What is Mpox?
Ampox is a viral disease caused by the monkeypox virus, a species of the Orthopoxvirus genus. Ampox was previously known as monkeypox. The virus was first identified by scientists in 1958 when an outbreak of ‘pox-like’ disease occurred in monkeys.
