Security at Red Fort is tight on 15th August, people will be verified through this app of Delhi Police

The 78th Independence Day celebrations will be held at Delhi’s Red Fort on 15 August. Security has been beefed up in all areas of Delhi before 15 August. Delhi Police is keeping an eye on everything, whether it is deployment of soldiers at security points, checking of vehicles or keeping an eye through drones. Delhi Police is taking special care of security at every corner.

People will be verified through e-testing app

Keeping security in mind on Independence Day, Delhi Police has created an app which is very important from security point of view. Actually, the name of this app is E Pariksha and it has been created for Delhi Police only. It cannot be used by the public, rather only the police can use this app. Through this, the information of the people living around Delhi’s Red Fort can be verified.

Verification will come in handy

North DCP Manoj Meena informed that this app has been launched this year and it will prove to be very useful on occasions like 15 August and 26 January, because till now the police personnel had to verify the citizens one by one, but now their data will be fed in this app, so that Delhi Police will have the information of all the people around the Red Fort and associated with the Red Fort, their criminal background and which state they belong to.

Delhi Police has made full security arrangements before 15th August and local people have also been instructed not to fly drones as flying drones around Red Fort is prohibited and legal action will be taken if anyone does so.

How does the Delhi Police app work?

Now you must be wondering how this app of Delhi Police works. Vinod Walia, a sub-inspector working in Delhi Police, said that e-test is completely digital. Only those officers of Delhi Police who work in the security and surveillance team can run it because it is very important from the security point of view. Therefore, Delhi Police is not sharing its information on public platforms or social media platforms.

The technical team of Delhi Police monitors this app. Through this, it can also be found out how many people are there whose verification has not been done yet. There is a user login to run it and as soon as you open it, you get the complete data of the people living nearby, which is verified only after confirming with the local police of their states.
