Second nuclear submarine joins the Navy…Know the power of INS Arighat

The Indian Navy has received the indigenous nuclear submarine INS Arighat. It has been included in the Strategic Forces Command. Many new upgrades have been done in it. This submarine, the second nuclear-fueled and equipped with nuclear ballistic missiles of the Indian Navy, is a state-of-the-art SSBN of the Arihant class.

It has been built in the Shipbuilding Center located in Visakhapatnam. Its displacement is 6000 tons. Its length is about 113 meters. The beam is 11 meters and the draft is 9.5 meters. It can go to a depth of 980 to 1400 feet under water. The range is unlimited. That is, if there is food supply and maintenance, it can stay in the sea for unlimited time.

12 K15 SLBMs have been deployed in INS Arighat. The range of the submarine launched ballistic missile is 750 km. It also has four K4 missiles, which have a range of 3500 km. Apart from this, six 21-inch torpedoes are installed in this submarine. Apart from this, there are many torpedo tubes, which will work to lay torpedoes, missiles or sea mines.

INS Arighat, Indian Navy, nuclear ballistic missile submarine

This submarine has a nuclear reactor installed inside it, which will provide this submarine a speed of 28 km/hr on the surface and 44 km/hr underwater with nuclear fuel. With the inclusion of INS Arihant and this submarine in the Navy, the coasts of both sides of the country will remain safe from enemy attacks. Neither Pakistan nor China will dare to attack due to the presence of this submarine. Not only this, India is also preparing to build a third nuclear submarine.
