Seizures 2024: The month of Sawan, which is dear to Lord Shiva, has started today. This time the month of Shravan is going to be from 22nd July to 19th August. Every Monday of Sawan, devotees of Bholenath keep fast and do Jalabhishek of Shivling. Along with the physical form of Lord Shiva, Shivling worship also has special significance. He is worshipped the most in the form of Shivling. There are a total of twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva in the country. 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva
There are 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva – Somnath (Gujarat), Mallikarjuna (Andhra Pradesh), Mahakaleshwar (Madhya Pradesh), Omkareshwar (Madhya Pradesh), Kedarnath (Uttarakhand), Bhimashankar (Maharashtra), Vishwanath (Uttar Pradesh), Trayambakeshwar (Maharashtra), Vaidyanath (Jharkhand), Nageshwar (Gujarat), Rameshwar (Tamil Nadu) and Ghushmeshwar (Maharashtra). Worshiping Jyotirlingas is better than worshipping other Shivlingas. If only the names of these Shivlingas are remembered every morning, the sins of seven births are washed away. If it is not possible for you to visit these Jyotirlingas, then you can also worship by placing their pictures in the house.

Rules for worshiping the 12 Jyotirlingas at home
Place the picture of Jyotirlinga in the east or west direction of the house. Do not place the pictures of all the Jyotirlingas together. It will be better if you place the picture of Jyotirlinga as per your requirement. You can place this picture on any day in the month of Savan. Otherwise, Monday, Purnima or Shivratri is also good for this. Do not place any other picture or deity at the place where you place the picture of Jyotirlinga.

How to worship Jyotirlingas?
Place a large vessel in front of the Jyotirlinga. First meditate on Lord Shiva and then offer Bel leaves, fruits, incense etc. in the same vessel. After this, pour water in the same vessel with both hands while chanting the name of Lord Shiva. Chant any mantra of Lord Shiva at least three times or at most 11 times. After chanting, meditate on Lord Shiva. At the end, take the name of the twelve Jyotirlingas and then pray for forgiveness.
