Sawan 2024: The fast of the third Monday of Sawan is being kept today, 5th August. All the Mondays of Sawan are considered very special. Shiva controls all the three qualities of the universe. Shiva himself is also Trinetradhari. Also, Shiva is worshipped in three forms only. The third Monday of Sawan is the most important for the worship of all the three forms. By worshipping these three forms, wishes can be fulfilled on the third Monday of Sawan. It would be best if these forms of Shiva are worshipped during Pradosh Kaal.

Today, on the third Monday of Sawan, three Muhurtas are being created. The first Muhurta is Brahma Muhurta which will last from 4:20 am to 5:03 am. Also, Ashlesha Nakshatra will last from 1:26 pm to 3:21 pm on August 5. Apart from this, Abhijeet Muhurta will last from 12 noon to 12:54 pm.

Neelkanth form of Shiva
When the poison Halahal came out during the Samudra Manthan, Lord Shiva drank it to protect humanity. He stopped the poison in his throat, due to which his throat turned blue. Due to the blue throat, this form of Lord Shiva is called Neelkanth. Worshiping this form does not have any effect of things like enemy obstacles, conspiracy and tantra mantra. To worship the Neelkanth form of Lord Shiva on Monday of Sawan, offer a stream of sugarcane juice on the Shiv Linga. After this, chant the mantra of the Neelkanth form – “Om Namo Neelkanthaay”. Every obstacle of the planets will end.
Shiva in the form of Nataraja
Shiva is the one who invented all the dance, music and art in the world. Shiva has also explained all the nuances and subtleties of dance to his disciples. He created such dances which affect our mind, body and soul. Nataraja form is worshipped for happiness and peace in life and to experience bliss. His worship is also good for success in the field of knowledge, science, art, music and acting. It is considered best to install a white Nataraja idol in the house on Monday of Sawan. Offer white flowers in his worship.
Mahamrityunjaya form of Shiva
The form of Shiva, by worshipping whom even death can be conquered, is Mrityunjay. In this form, Shiva protects his devotee by carrying a pitcher of nectar. Worshiping the Mrityunjay form of Lord Shiva protects one from premature death, protects life, gains health and fulfills wishes. To worship the Mrityunjay form of Lord Shiva on the Monday of Sawan, offer Bel leaves and a stream of water on the Shiv Linga. After this, do a half parikrama of the Shiv Linga and pray for the fulfillment of wishes. The mantra of the Mrityunjay form is “Om Haun Joon Sa”.
