‘Sarkate Ka Aatak’ will be in theatres on 15th August, 1 lakh tickets sold, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khel’ pales in comparison to ‘Stree’

On the occasion of Independence Day (15th August), there will be a clash between 3 big films. Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s film ‘Stree 2’ will clash with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and John Abraham’s ‘Veda’. Among these three films, there is the most hype about Stree 2. Be it its trailer or powerful songs, the horror comedy is trending among the fans. The movie is getting the benefit of this in advance booking.

Stree 2 ahead in advance booking

In terms of advance booking, Rajkumar Rao’s film is leading among the three films. In just 48 hours, 1 lakh tickets of Stree 2 have been sold. According to Sacnilk, Stree 2 has sold 1,24,402 advance tickets for the first day. With this, the film has earned 4.09 crores so far. The makers had told on Saturday that advance booking for Stree 2 has opened. The movie will be released on August 14. Its first show will start at 9.30 pm.

Akshay Kumar-John Abraham’s film lagged behind

On the other hand, people are not very excited about Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer film ‘Khel Khel Mein’. Only 2,402 advance tickets of the film have been sold, earning 8.74 lakhs from them. The slow pace of the film in terms of advance booking is not good news for Akshay Kumar. That is also because many of his previous films have flopped back to back. His last release was Sarfira, which flopped at the box office.

Talking about John Abraham’s Veda, it has done better than Akshay Kumar’s film in advance booking. 5,969 tickets of the film were sold in the first day’s advance booking, which gave the makers a revenue of 18.07 lakhs. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the advance booking figures of Stree 2 are pointing towards the success of the film. The movie is going to get a blockbuster start. He hopes that the other two films ‘Khel Khel Mein‘ and ‘Veda’ may do better after release.

According to Bollywood Hungama’s report, by Monday night, ‘Stree 2’ will surpass the total advance booking figures of Hrithik Roshan’s film ‘Fighter’. By Tuesday night, it will surpass Shahrukh Khan’s Donkey and by Wednesday night, it will surpass the advance sale figures of Brahmastra and Tiger 3. Stree 2’s box office success is considered certain. The original film had collected 180 crores. Maddock Films’ supernatural universe films Bhediya, Mujhya have all been hits. Stree 2 is directed by Amar Kaushik.
