The case of rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata is still in the news. On August 8, the trainee doctor was brutally murdered in the seminar hall of RG Kar Hospital. Sanjay Roy is the main accused in this case. Now a new revelation has been made about the accused.
According to sources, on the night of August 8, the trainee doctor was sleeping in the seminar hall of the hospital. Sanjay Roy was seen entering the seminar hall at 4.03 am. He was seen coming out of the seminar hall at 4.40 am. It is alleged that he left the seminar hall after committing the crime. Sources say that the victim doctor died between 4.15 and 4.40 am on August 9.
This entire incident came to light on 9 August. The body of a 31-year-old female trainee doctor was found in the seminar hall on the third floor of RG Kar Medical College Hospital. Her clothes were missing from her body. She was bleeding. There were marks of injuries on her body. After the incident, the resident doctors became angry and went on strike. The police arrested the accused Sanjay Roy and sent him to jail. 5 days later, the High Court transferred the case from the police to the CBI. Later, the Supreme Court took suo motu cognizance of the case and ordered the CBI to file a progress report of the investigation so far. After this, the CBI filed a status report in the court on Thursday.
What happened on the night of August 8-9?
Sanjay Roy, the accused of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, went inside RG Hospital four times on different pretexts on the night of 8th and 9th. Out of these, he came out after roaming inside the hospital three times. But it is alleged that by the time he came out of the hospital for the fourth and last time, he had raped and murdered the trainee doctor.
Investigation revealed that Sanjay Roy had also visited a red light area near the hospital on the night of the incident and while returning from there, he had molested a girl on the way.
CBI will conduct polygraph test of Sandeep Ghosh and 4 trainee doctors
In this case, the CBI is continuously questioning the former principal of the hospital, Sandeep Ghosh. The former principal of the medical college, Sandeep Ghosh, is being suspected because it is alleged that the main accused in the case, Sanjay Roy, actually used to roam around as Sandeep Ghosh’s bouncer. At the same time, the CBI has also investigated the SUV used by Sandeep Ghosh in this case, but now the CBI has obtained permission from the court for the polygraph test of Sandeep Ghosh. Along with this, the CBI will also conduct a polygraph test of those 4 doctors who had dinner with the female doctor on August 8. Actually, by conducting polygraph tests of everyone, the CBI wants to check whether the statements given by these people are correct or not.
