Salman Khan reveals, Manoj Kumar wants to take away the credit of writing ‘Kranti’ from Salim-Javed

On Tuesday, a big gift came for the fans of writer duo Salim-Javed who gave many memorable films to Hindi cinema like Deewar, Sholay, Zanjeer and Mr. India. Amazon Prime is bringing a documentary showing the journey of Salim-Javed, named ‘Angry Young Men’. The trailer of this documentary was launched on Tuesday.

Salim Khan’s son Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was also present at the trailer launch event. Javed Akhtar’s son Farhan Akhtar and daughter Zoya Akhtar were also seen at the trailer launch of ‘Angry Young Men. In the middle of the event, Salman Khan made a revelation that shocked people. Salman said that Manoj Kumar wants to snatch the credit of writing his very popular and memorable film ‘Kranti’ from Salim-Javed.

Salman, who arrived at the trailer launch of ‘Angry Young Men‘, told a shocking thing about Manoj Kumar in a conversation with reporters. Javed sahab also took a dig at Salman’s revelation.

Talking about Salim-Javed’s films, Farhan Akhtar said that he has watched the film ‘Kranti’ written by this duo more than 300 times. When Salman was asked about this film, he said, ‘I just want to do an interview with Mr. Manoj Kumar. He is taking the credit of this film from Salim-Javed, he says that he has written this film.’

On Salman’s statement, Farhan said, ‘He did this? Then we will have to make a separate documentary on Manoj ji.’ Reacting to Salman’s statement, Javed Akhtar also gave his opinion. He said, ‘I think he has shown a lot of honesty by making this confession.

Salman said in a sarcastic tone about Manoj Kumar, ‘This is a fact. He says that ‘I was writing and used to read it out to him (Salim Javed). But he is the one who wrote the story.’

Let us tell you, the Salim-Javed duo did 24 films together before separating in 1982, out of which 22 were blockbusters. No writer in the Hindi film industry had achieved such success before this. At the trailer launch of ‘Angry Young Men’, Javed Akhtar announced that he was going to work with Salim Khan once again. He said, ‘We are going to write again. I talked to Salim sahab that we should write one last film together.
