Russia’s attack causes chaos in Ukraine, 51 people killed, ballistic missile wreaks havoc

Russia on Tuesday fired two ballistic missiles at a military institute in Poltava, Ukraine. At least 51 people were killed and 271 injured in this attack. This is the deadliest attack by Russia on Ukraine this year. The Ukrainian President has ordered an investigation into this attack.

Giving information about this deadly attack, President Volodymyr Zelensky said on the Telegram messaging app, Russia will definitely be held responsible for this attack. He ordered an immediate investigation into this attack and said that the building of the Military Communication Institute has suffered a lot of damage due to the attack.

Zelensky, while mentioning the death toll in his video address at night, put the death toll at 51. He said that we know that people are buried under the rubble of the building, efforts are being made to save as many people as possible. The emergency service has put the death toll at 50, while other officials said that 51 people have been killed. According to Poltava regional governor Philip Pronin, 15 more people may still be buried under the rubble.

Ukrainian security forces say that several soldiers have died in the attack. However, they did not say how many of the dead were armed forces personnel. This attack is considered a big blow to Kiev, as Ukraine was trying to strengthen its ranks here. In a statement, it said that the Land Forces Command is investigating to find out whether adequate steps were taken to protect the lives and health of the soldiers.

’25 people saved their lives’

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry said on Telegram that a building of the institute has been partially destroyed and many people are trapped under the rubble. He thanked the rescue workers and doctors and said that so far 25 people have been rescued, out of which 11 people have been pulled out from under the rubble. At present, the rescue workers are doing their work.

Let us tell you that Russia has intensified missile and drone attacks on Ukraine. Last week, Ukraine was bombed the most and now Kiev has been targeted with ballistic missiles.

Earlier, Ukraine attacked Russia with 158 drones over the weekend and targeted an oil refinery, a power station near Moscow. At the same time, fighting has intensified with the advance of Russian forces in eastern Ukraine last month, while Kiev troops carried out their first large-scale cross-border attack into Russia.
