Ruckus in Pakistan over the bold content of ‘Barzakh’, announcement to remove the show from YouTube

Ever since Sanam Saeed and Fawad Khan’s show ‘Barzakh’ started streaming, its bold content has created a stir in the neighboring country Pakistan. Be it the intimate scenes of Barzakh or the romance shown between the gay couple, they have shocked the Pakistani people.

This show was heavily trolled by the people of Pakistan on social media. Not only the public but also big film personalities were involved in this. Fawad and Sanam were also trolled for signing such a show.

In view of the constant criticism, now the team of Zindagi Channel and Barzakh have taken a big decision. Zee Zindagi Channel has announced on its Instagram account that it will remove the show Barzakh from Pakistani YouTube.

The statement reads- The team of Zindagi and Barzakh sincerely thanks the audience around the world who have given unwavering support to the show. This show was created with the aim of bringing people together. But considering the sentiments of the people of Pakistan, we have decided to remove Barzakh from YouTube Pakistan from 9 August 2024. This decision has been taken to show our dedication to the public without any separation.

Pakistani public trolled

After the show was removed from the Pakistani platform, reactions from users have also started coming. People have raised questions on the content of Pakistani drama shows. Where domestic violence is glorified a lot. Users say why do people take fictional shows so personally. Many also believe that even though the show has been banned from the Pakistani platform, people will still secretly watch Barzakh and react.

Fawad-Sanam came together after 12 years
So far 6 episodes of Barzakh have been streamed. So much uproar has been seen on this. This show is directed by Asim Abbasi. Intimacy between a gay couple was shown in the recent episode. People of Pakistan objected to this. The makers were accused of hurting the culture and sentiments of the country.

Through this show, Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed came together on screen after 12 years. ‘Barzakh’ may not be seen in Pakistan anymore, but the Indian audience can watch this show as before.
