Roads submerged due to heavy rain in Delhi-NCR, people are afraid of traffic jam! IMD issued this alert

Heavy rain is being witnessed today (Friday), 9th August, in most parts of NCR including the country’s capital Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Greater Noida. People have got relief from the humid heat due to the change in weather but after heavy rains, roads are flooded in many areas, due to which traffic jams can occur due to slow speed of vehicles.

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), in the next few hours, moderate to heavy rain with thunder is expected in many areas of Delhi including Kanjhawala, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Rajiv Chowk, India Gate, Safdarjung, Lodi Road, Nehru Stadium, RK Puram, Defense Colony, Lajpat Nagar. At the same time, light to moderate rain will continue intermittently in Azadpur, Pitampura, Delhi University, Kashmiri Gate, Seelampur, Red Fort, Preet Vihar.

According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon is once again active in most parts of the country in the first fortnight of August. Due to which heavy rains are being seen in the areas of North India including Delhi, UP, Bihar, Uttarakhand. According to the forecast of IMD, today i.e. Friday, it may rain not only in Delhi but also in the districts of UP and Bihar. Due to which the weather will remain pleasant for the next two days.
