RNC 2024: Complete updated schedule

Last Updated on 13/07/2024 by wccexam Desk

The 2024 Republican National Convention is set to take place from July 15-18 at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The convention will feature the official nomination of Donald Trump as the Republican presidential candidate, along with the selection of his yet-to-be-named running mate.

The convention will follow a daily theme, with each day focusing on a different aspect of Trump’s campaign slogan “Make America Great Again”:

Monday: Make America Wealthy Once Again

Tuesday: Make America Safe Once Again
Wednesday: Make America Strong Once Again
Thursday: Make America Great Once Again

While the full speaking schedule has not been released, several notable speakers have been confirmed:

  • Sean O’Brien, Teamsters union General President
  • Amber Rose, rapper and model
  • Ron DeSantis, Florida Governor
  • Marjorie Taylor Greene, Georgia Representative
  • Kari Lake, Arizona gubernatorial candidate
  • Elise Stefanik, New York Representative
  • Jim Justice, West Virginia Governor
  • Dana White, UFC President
  • Donald Trump Jr., businessman and political commentator
  • Brenna Bird, Iowa Attorney General
  • Trent Conaway, Missouri Attorney General

Trump is expected to attend and speak at the event, and may use the opportunity to announce his vice presidential pick, with North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, and Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance being the most mentioned possibilities.

The convention will also feature the approval of a new Republican Party platform, which is expected to be more nationalistic, protectionist, and less socially conservative than previous versions. The platform will likely address key issues such as immigration, the economy, foreign policy, and education.

Despite the excitement surrounding the convention, there has been some grumbling within the party over the platform’s stance on abortion, which removes opposition to same-sex marriage and drops calls for a national ban on abortion, instead leaving the issue up to the states.

As the convention approaches, Republicans are optimistic about their chances in the upcoming elections, with a favorable political climate not only for Trump but also for Republican candidates across different levels of government. However, the event will also face scrutiny from protesters and counter-programming from Democrats, who will aim to highlight Biden’s achievements and contrast his leadership style with Trump’s.
