In Ghaziabad, UP, a 14-year-old girl was raped inside her house. After this incident, anger spread among the local people and protests started. Angry people started arson and vandalism. After getting the information, police officers reached the spot and pacified the matter.

Police say that the victim’s family has stated in the complaint lodged that around 6 pm on Wednesday evening, when the power went out, three-four people entered the house from the back door. The accused, who works as a scrap dealer, raped and assaulted the girl. A case has been registered on the complaint of the family and investigation has been started.

People protested against the brutality done to the minor and demanded that the culprits be hanged. During the protest, people entered the shop of the accused who deals in scrap and threw out the goods. People set an e-rickshaw on fire. After getting the information, the police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

In fact, in Ghaziabad’s Link Road police station area, the minor girl had gone out of her house for some work. When she returned, the youth who worked in the scrap business entered the house and made the minor girl smell something and then raped her.

Hindu organizations protested at the police station and expressed their displeasure over this. People protested with banners that read ‘Hang the criminals’. The angry mob vandalized junk shops and rickshaws, carts and e-rickshaws parked on the road in Karkar area. The girl’s family has accused some other people of being involved in the incident. The protesters created a ruckus demanding the arrest of the accused.

Hindu organizations allege that four youths have carried out this incident, while the police have arrested one youth. Ashish Pal, national vice president of Hindu Parivar Gau Raksha Dal, said that there are a large number of junk shops here. Such people keep fighting again and again. The people of the organization said that the youths gather together and smoke ganja and do illegal work. In such a situation, the patrolling of the police also comes under question.

Assistant Police Commissioner Rajneesh Kumar Upadhyay said that a case of rape of a minor girl has come to light in Ghaziabad’s Link Road police station area. The victim’s father has given a written complaint in Link Road police station, in which a scrap dealer from another community has been accused of assault and rape. The police have registered a case. The victim has been sent for medical examination. The accused has been taken into custody.
