Rape-murder of a junior doctor, a 45-second video and destruction of evidence… this is how clues were destroyed in the presence of police!

Kolkata junior doctor rape murder case: After the Kolkata incident, the CBI is tightening its grip on former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Sandeep Ghosh. Along with the CBI, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also started an investigation against Sandeep Ghosh. Sandeep Ghosh is accused of destroying evidence from the crime scene. The pictures of the same crime scene have also surfaced for the first time. Everyone is shocked to see the scene there.

45 second video surfaced
A viral video that has emerged during the ongoing Nabanno March in Kolkata against the RG Kar rape and murder case has raised a big question on the working style of the West Bengal government and Kolkata Police. This 45-second video is said to be of the same scene of crime on the morning of 9 August, where a horrific incident of rape and murder of a trainee doctor took place inside the hospital. That is, the seminar room of RG Kar Hospital.

Policemen are also present along with the crowd at the crime scene
But the surprising thing is that in that video it can be seen that dozens of people are standing in a crowd at the scene of crime. They are talking to each other, peeping, using mobile phones. And what is even more surprising is that policemen are also present in this crowd of people. That is, people are standing in a crowd at the scene of crime right in front of the eyes of the policemen themselves, but the police are not trying to stop them.

Police gave this clarification at the crime scene
Kolkata Police has admitted that this video is of the seminar room of the hospital on the morning of 9th August, but the police says that by then they had cordoned off the area around the dead body and these people are standing outside that cordoned off area. But from this explanation of Kolkata Police, it is clear that so many people entered the same seminar hall when there was a dead body lying in the hall and securing the scene of crime was the first and foremost need.

Claims of identity of some people
Some people have also been claimed to be identified in that video. This includes the names of Sanjeev Chattopadhyay, in-charge of the police post of RG Kar Hospital, lawyer Shantanu Dey, Prasun Chattopadhyay, PA of the then Principal of RG Kar, Sandeep Ghosh, and forensic demonstrator Devashish Som.

Kolkata Police’s responsibility on crime scenes
The question arises that what are so many people doing at the scene of crime. The strange thing is that in this crowd, along with the doctors and staff of the hospital, there are many outsiders as well, whose presence here does not make sense. Whereas the police itself has already told that the scene of crime has already been spoiled due to the presence of so many people. Now the question arises that in the presence of the police who were talking about spoiling the scene of crime, a crowd of people is seen gathering at the scene of crime. Obviously, Kolkata Police is now unable to answer on this condition of the scene of crime.

DCP Central made a big claim
But despite this, Kolkata Police DCP Central Indira Mukherjee has justified this video. In a press conference on Monday, she accepted that this video is from inside the seminar room, but at the same time she also claimed that due to the crowd, there was no tampering with the evidence. She told that by then the police had cordoned off the area where the trainee doctor’s body was kept and this is the 11 feet area inside the seminar hall which was outside the cordon.

The game was spoiled due to the entry of people in the seminar hall
However, experts are raising questions that when the investigation had not even begun, how did the police understand that the murder took place at the place where the dead body was lying. It could also have happened that the murder took place somewhere else or in some other part of the seminar hall and the dead body was dragged and thrown in another corner, in such a situation the police ruined the case by allowing people to enter the seminar hall.

Sanjay’s bike is registered in the name of the police commissioner
But this was about the viral video of the seminar hall, which posed a big challenge for the investigation of the case. Now the CBI investigation has made it clear that the bike used by the accused Sanjay Roy to travel to RG Kar Hospital on the night of the incident belonged to none other than Kolkata Police. Moreover, this bike is registered in the name of the Kolkata Police Commissioner. The CBI has currently seized this bike.

Drunk Sanjay went to the red light area on his bike
But the question arises that when the accused Sanjay Roy is not a policeman, then how was he using a government bike. And how was the Kolkata Police allowing such a person with a criminal character to use their bike. Sanjay, who used the bike, was arrested in the murder case, but even before that he did not hold back in breaking the law. He roamed the streets of Kolkata on the night of the incident in a drunken state on the same bike. He also visited different red light areas on the same bike and drove the bike with ‘Police’ written on it for at least 15 kilometers while intoxicated.

Kolkata Police’s clarification regarding the bike
However, Kolkata Police has made it clear by writing a post on x that all the bikes of Kolkata Police are registered in the name of the Police Commissioner of Kolkata and the bike that Sanjay Roy was using is also registered in the name of the Commissioner like other bikes. Kolkata Police has said that the bike was confiscated by Kolkata Police only when Sanjay Roy was arrested.
