Ranbir Kapoor will have a double role in ‘Ramayana’, Amitabh will be the voice of Jatayu, big details revealed

Director Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayan’ is one of those Bollywood projects which both the public and the industry are eagerly waiting for. So far the makers have not shared any official announcement of this film. But the interviews of the actors and the pictures from the set have shown that Nitesh Tiwari is ready to bring the story of Ramayan on screen in a very grand manner.

So far it has been revealed that Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Lord Shri Ram in the film and Sai Pallavi is playing the role of his wife Sita. The role of Lord Hanuman has been given to Sunny Deol, Laxman to Ravi Dubey and Kaikeyi to Lara Dutta. Now two exciting details have come out from this film.

A report by Peeping Moon claims that Ranbir Kapoor is going to play a double role in ‘Ramayana’. He will play the characters of both Ram and Parshuram in the film. According to the source, when Shri Ram broke Lord Shiva’s bow in ‘Ramayana’, Parshuram, famous for his anger, reached there, after which an amazing dialogue between the two is recorded in ‘Ramayana’.

In Hindu mythology, both Ram and Parashuram are incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Parashuram’s character may be small but very important in Ram’s story. And the makers of ‘Ramayana’ have decided that they will show the character of Parashuram in the film with the same importance. Therefore, Ranbir will play the role of both Vishnu incarnations. Ranbir’s look in Parashuram’s look will be very different and it will be very difficult to recognize him.

Amitabh will become Jatayu
The report also said that Bollywood’s Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan will also be a part of ‘Ramayana’ which is being made in two parts. However, he himself will not be physically seen on screen. Information suggests that Amitabh will give voice to the character of Jatayu in this film.

This character will be created on screen with the help of VFX and Amitabh’s eyes have also been scanned to improve its look. Let us tell you, Indian company DNEG, which has won Oscar awards for special effects in many films, and KGF star Yash’s company are jointly producing ‘Ramayana’. Reports suggest that the budget of this film has been kept at 100 million dollars i.e. more than Rs 800 crore.
