Rampur: 11 students fainted after getting Japanese encephalitis vaccine, admitted to CHC

In many districts of Uttar Pradesh, a vaccination campaign is being run in schools against Japanese encephalitis. In Rampur, the condition of 11 girl students of a school deteriorated after getting the Japanese encephalitis vaccine. After which they were immediately admitted to the community health center for treatment.

All the girls fell unconscious after getting the Japanese fever vaccine. It is being told that these students are from Adarsh ​​Public Junior High School of Saifni, where the Japanese fever vaccine was being administered. During that time, the girls fell unconscious.

Vaccination program is going on in schools to prevent Japanese encephalitis. All students between 5 to 15 years are being vaccinated. On Tuesday, girls were being vaccinated in Adarsh ​​Public Junior High School of Saifni. After getting vaccinated, 11 girls fainted. Seeing this, there was chaos in the school. Immediately all the girls were taken to the nearby Shahbad Community Health Center.

The chief medical officer ordered an inquiry

In this case, Medical Superintendent Shahbad Mohit Rastogi said that the children were scared. After vaccination, they were brought to Shahbad CHC. Now their condition is fine. The children have also been sent home. He said that this vaccine is very important to prevent Japanese fever. In the last 3 years, some children in Milak and Shahbad have been affected by it. This is a fatal disease, so all children should get vaccinated.
