Raksha Bandhan 2024: Sisters must keep these things in the Rakshabandhan plate, tie Rakhi to brother with this mantra

Rakshabandhan is a symbol of brother-sister love. On this day, sisters tie a rakhi on their brother’s wrist and pray for his well-being. The brother also promises to protect his sister. He also gives some gifts to the sister. According to the Hindu calendar, Rakshabandhan is celebrated on Shravan Shukla Purnima. This time the festival of Rakshabandhan is being celebrated on 19 August i.e. today. But this time the shadow of Bhadra is also going to remain on the festival of Rakhi. The shadow of Bhadra on Rakshabandhan will remain from 02.21 pm on 19 August to 01.30 pm today. According to the scriptures, it is forbidden to tie a rakhi to the brother during this period. After the shadow of Bhadra goes away, Rakhi can be tied only after 1:30 pm.

On Raksha Bandhan, the sister decorates the thali before tying the rakhi to the brother. After that, she performs the Aarti of the brother and also applies tilak. The thali of Rakhi is considered very auspicious. So let us know what should be there in the thali of Raksha Bandhan.

Roli, Kumkum, Akshat, coconut, flowers, Rakhi, ghee lamp and sweets must be present in the Rakhi thali. It is considered good to worship with these things. It is auspicious to make Swastik or Ashta Lakshmi symbol with Roli in the Puja thali. Spread a red cloth in that thali and then keep the Puja material.

First of all, apply tilak on your brother’s forehead. Then apply rice grains and tie a rakhi to your brother. After that, perform aarti of your brother. After that, feed sweets to your brother with your own hands.

While tying Rakhi to the brother, the sister should chant this mantra, “The one with whom Bali, the mighty king of demons is tied, I bind you, protect Machala Machala. By tying Rakhi with this mantra, it works like a shield for the brother.
