After the national anthem was played in the Upper House, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar announced the adjournment of the 264th session of the Rajya Sabha indefinitely. In the current session, on June 27, President Draupadi Murmu addressed a joint meeting of both the Houses.

Opposition created ruckus and walked out

Earlier, while speaking in the Rajya Sabha on the motion of thanks on the President’s address, opposition MPs raised slogans of ‘Let the LOP speak’. The opposition alleged that the Leader of the Opposition was not allowed to speak. With this, the opposition walked out of the House. The Chairman expressed displeasure over this. Terming the exit of the opposition as extremely painful and painful, the Chairman of the Upper House Jagdeep Dhankhar said that he had requested that the Leader of the Opposition be given an opportunity to speak without any interruption during the discussion. He said, today they (the opposition) have not left the House, they have left the decorum. Today they have not turned their backs on me, they have turned their backs on the Indian Constitution. Today they have not disrespected me and you but have disrespected the oath that has been taken under the Constitution.
