What is cloud burst called?
Cloudburst means sudden very heavy rainfall in a limited area in a very short time. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, if there is 100 mm rainfall in an hour in an area of 20-30 square kilometers, then it is called cloudburst. In common parlance, sudden heavy rainfall at one place is called cloudburst. Now let us tell you when does cloudburst occur?

how a cloud bursts

When clouds with high moisture content gather at one place due to increase in temperature, the water droplets mix together and the weight of the droplets increases so much that the density of the cloud increases. Due to this, heavy rain suddenly starts in a limited area. This is called cloud burst.

In terms of cloudburst incidents, two states of the country, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, are considered to be the most sensitive. Cloudbursts have become common during monsoon rains in these two hilly states. According to experts, due to climate change, there is a possibility of a big increase in cloudburst disasters in the coming years. That is, this is just a trailer, nature is warning, if we do not take care now, we will have to lose both life and property.
