The budget session of Parliament is at a very interesting turn. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget on Tuesday 23 July and now the debate on the budget is going on in Parliament. Today, on Monday 29 July, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi stood up to debate on the budget. During this, whatever he said about the budget halwa made Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman laugh and she held her head. Let’s know what is the whole matter –
Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi waved a photo, due to which he was removed from the screen. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla stopped him. On this Rahul Gandhi said, Sir, I am showing a photo and you have switched off the TV. When the Lok Sabha Speaker said that the TV is not off, my face is visible in it, then Rahul Gandhi kept repeating again and again that the TV is off.
No permission to show photos
Rahul Gandhi told the Lok Sabha Speaker, “You turn off the TV.” During this time, he kept showing the photo again and again. When Om Birla interrupted him again, Rahul Gandhi also apologized for this. Om Birla said that showing photos is not allowed. After being interrupted repeatedly, Rahul Gandhi put the photo down and put forward his point.
Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi said, Sir, I want to explain this picture. He said, ‘In this, the budget halwa is being distributed. And in this photo, Sir, I can see only one OBC officer, I cannot see a tribal officer. I cannot see a Dalit officer. What is happening Sir, the country’s halwa is being distributed Sir and 73 percent are nowhere in it.’
And Nirmala Sitharaman held her head
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman laughed at this statement of Rahul Gandhi and held her head. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi’s speech was still going on. He said, ‘Sir, you are eating this halwa. And the rest of the country is not getting halwa. 20 officers prepared the budget, we have found out sir.’ On this, the Finance Minister was seen smiling and nodding her head.
Rahul Gandhi continued his speech. He said, ‘We have the names of those 20 officers, if you want I will give their names. 20 officers have prepared the budget of India. It means that 20 people have worked to distribute the halwa of India. Out of those 20 people, out of 90 percent people, only 2 are there, one minority and one OBC. And none of them is in this photo. It means you have kept them behind in the photo. You did not allow them to come in the photo. No one can come. And I wanted that the voice of caste census should be raised in the budget. The whole country wants it. 95 percent people want it. Who wants it – Dalits want it, tribals want it, backward class wants it, poor general caste people want it, minorities want it. Because everyone wants to know how much is our participation, what is our share.’
