Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday took a special trip in a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus. During this, he met bus drivers, conductors and marshals near Sarojini Nagar bus depot and talked about their problems. The LoP tried to understand their problems and challenges through this trip.
Rahul Gandhi shared the pictures taken during his visit on Facebook and told about his conversation. He said, “In Delhi, there was a meeting and discussion with driver-conductor brothers and bus marshals and then a fun journey in a DTC bus. Discussed their problems with friends!”

It is important to listen to ‘Mann Ki Baat’
Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also shared the pictures of this meeting in one of her posts. She stressed that lakhs of citizens are facing economic insecurity and their “Mann Ki Baat” needs to be heard. She said, “How do the drivers, conductors and marshals who run transport corporations with thousands of buses in the service of the public run their households?”
Priyanka Gandhi further said, “How do they live their lives amidst inflation, rising fees of children, tension of salary and pension? There are crores of such voices in the country, who are forced to live in terrible economic insecurity. It is important to listen to their Mann Ki Baat.” Congress leaders are constantly seen meeting common people and they also share pictures of their meetings on social media.

Rahul Gandhi will go to America
The opposition leader is also going to America next month. His one-week foreign trip will begin from September 8. During this time he will meet Indian people and address students in top universities. Apart from this, he will also meet some American MPs. He will attend the program of Indian Overseas Congress in Irving, Texas at 4 pm on September 8. During his US visit, Rahul Gandhi will visit Washington DC, New Jersey and Los Angeles.
