The opening ceremony saw more than 10,000 Olympic athletes sail on nearly 100 boats through the Seine River, passing some of Paris’ iconic landmarks, including Notre Dame, Pont des Arts, Pont Neuf. The floating parade began at the Austerlitz Bridge next to the Jardin des Plantes and ended at the Trocadero.
