Pune News: A young man who climbed a tower to steal a metal cable died after falling from a height of 100 feet, his friends buried him

A shocking incident has come to light in Pune, Maharashtra. Here, one of the three friends who were trying to steal metal cable from a high tension electricity tower fell down and died, after which both his friends buried him in the forest and did not inform the police or his family about this incident. When the police investigated, the matter was revealed, after which the police arrested both the friends.

Police said on Tuesday that the three friends were trying to steal metal from a defunct high-tension electricity tower located near Ranjane village in Velhe tehsil on July 13. During this, Basavaraj Mangrule (22), a resident of Sinhagad Road area of ​​Pune, died after falling from the tower. The two accused in this case were identified as Saurabh Renuse and Rupesh Yenpure.

According to news agency PTI, the incident came to light when Mangrule’s family lodged a complaint that he was missing since he left for Pabe village with Renuse on July 11. Police said that Mangrule, Renuse and Yenpure went towards Ranjane village to steal metal cables, but Mangrule died after falling from the tower.

Friends took him to the forest and buried him

An officer from Sinhagad Road police station said, instead of taking him to the hospital, the accused allegedly buried him in the Pabe forest. When questioned, they also told the police the place where they had buried the deceased. Further investigation is underway in the case.
