Yashashree Shinde murder case revealed: First the girl mysteriously disappeared. Then within 24 hours her mutilated body was found some distance away from her house. Then after three days, some mysterious pictures of the girl before her death were seen in the CCTV footage. In the footage of those cameras, an unknown person was seen following the girl and after this the sensational truth of Navi Mumbai’s Yashashree murder came out, which shocked everyone.
‘Secret love’ became the reason for death
Even the police had not imagined that such a strange and shocking story would emerge behind the murder of 20-year-old Yashashree Shinde in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. But now that the police have solved the case, not only has the real reason behind the death of Yashashree, a resident of Uran, been revealed, but it has also become clear that the decision to stay in a ‘secret relationship’ while evading the eyes of the world proved fatal for Yashashree. Her murderer was none other than the same ‘secret love’, whom she trusted more than her family or perhaps even herself.
Face and private part were crushed
Yashashree, who worked as a data entry operator in a company, disappeared from her home on July 25. She had told her family that she was going to meet a friend, but after that, nothing was known about her. Her family filed a missing person report, but before the police or family members could find her alive, her body was found near a petrol pump in Kotanaka area of Uran. There were many marks of knife attacks on her body and the girl’s face and private parts were also badly mutilated by the killer.

I had doubts about my friend from the first day
However, Uran police and Navi Mumbai crime branch, which were investigating the case, suspected Dawood Sheikh, an old friend of the girl, from the very first day, but when the CCTV pictures made it clear that it was Dawood Sheikh who had followed the girl to the crime scene that day, the story became clear to a great extent. The call detail record of the girl also confirmed the conversation between her and Dawood. And as often happens in crime cases, Dawood had disappeared from Navi Mumbai after this incident.
He confessed his crime when he was caught
In such a situation, Navi Mumbai Police established contact with Karnataka Police and finally arrested Dawood from Gulbarga district. After being arrested, Dawood confessed to killing Yashashree Shinde, but the reason he gave for the murder was shocking.
The reason for the murder is shocking
Yashashree and Dawood knew each other since school days. Both were in a relationship. But there was a rift in the relationship. Yashashree’s family got Dawood arrested under the POCSO Act and sent him to jail on the charge of sexually abusing their daughter. While he was in jail, his connection with Yashashree was broken for a few days, but after coming out, he started talking to the girl again. But after this, when Dawood tried to take this relationship forward according to his own wishes, the matter got worse. Actually, Dawood wanted to take Yashashree with him to his home state i.e. Bengaluru. But Yashashree was not ready for this and Dawood often used to blackmail her to get his way.
Blackmailing using private photos
Actually, Dawood had some old private pictures of Yashashree. He used to blackmail her by threatening to post them on social media. Even before this incident, Dawood had called her to meet him, but she was not ready for it. And then Dawood tried the same trick. He posted some old pictures of himself and Yashashree on social media, after which Jayshree got upset and talked to Dawood and asked him to delete the pictures. Dawood said that he would delete these pictures only on one condition, if she comes to meet him. On this, Yashashree agreed to meet him. And Dawood deleted those pictures from social media.
Dawood was already preparing for the murder
As per the schedule, she left for office on 25th July, but since she had to meet Dawood, she took half day leave from office. After this, she went to a friend’s house and then from there she went to the place mentioned by Dawood, i.e. Kotanaka. But this proved to be the biggest mistake of her life. She did not know that Dawood was already planning to kill her.
Murdered with a knife, then attacked the private part
As soon as they reached Kotanaka, they had an argument over their relationship. Dawood was asking her to come with him to Bangalore, but Yashashree was not ready for this. She wanted Dawood to delete her pictures not only from social media but also from his mobile phone. And Dawood was not able to tolerate this rejection. Yashashree had never thought of this even in his dreams, but Dawood, who had already brought a knife with him, suddenly started attacking Yashashree with knives and killed her. And when he was not satisfied even after this, he badly injured her private parts and ran away from there.
The accused had borrowed money from a friend
After killing Yashashree, he realized that he would be caught sooner or later. And that is why he borrowed some money from a friend to escape.

Here, when Yashshree’s body was found, the police started investigating the case and soon the truth about Dawood came out. Now the police, along with searching for Dawood, started other technical investigations along with the call details of Yashshree’s mobile phone. In this connection, the name of another boy also came up. Mohsin. Actually Mohsin is a friend of Dawood, from whom many calls were made on Yashshree’s mobile phone and Yashshree also called him. In such a situation, Mohsin also came on the police radar. Doubts arose whether Mohsin is also involved in this murder? Or is this a case of love triangle? But then it became clear in the investigation that whenever Dawood and Yashshree used to fight and both of them blocked each other, then their conversation used to happen through Mohsin’s phone only.
Murder due to rejection or a conspiracy?
However, for now, Navi Mumbai Police has produced Dawood in the court and taken him on remand so that they can find out whether he committed this murder just because of a refusal or was there some other conspiracy behind it? Police also want to understand the conspiracy of the murder and the things going on in his mind before the murder.
