Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the wedding ceremony of billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant Ambani on Saturday and blessed the bride and groom. During this, the entire Ambani family was seen welcoming PM Modi.

PM Modi arrived in Mumbai to attend the ceremony organized at the Ambani family-owned ‘Jio World Convention Center’, which has been named ‘Shubh Ashirwad’. The newlywed couple took blessings from Modi by touching his feet. Modi was welcomed by Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani and he was taken to the venue.

Anant Ambani, son of Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant, tied the knot in a grand ceremony in Mumbai on Friday. The ‘mangal utsav’ or wedding ceremony will be held on Sunday.

Those who attended the wedding ceremony included Bollywood biggies Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Jaspreet Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav. Former UK Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Boris Johnson, besides Saudi Aramco CEO Amin H. Nasser were also on the guest list.

Before attending the event, Prime Minister Modi launched and laid the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 29,000 crore in Mumbai. These include road, railway and port projects.
