Priest absconded with 1.9 crore rupees from the donation box of the temple in Mathura… 71 lakh 92 thousand rupees were found at his home, made an excuse of depositing it in the bank

U.P news: In Mathura’s Govardhan, the priest absconded with the donation amount of one crore nine lakh rupees received in the temple. He had gone to deposit the money in the bank, but he neither reached the bank nor returned to the temple. The priest’s phone is switched off. The temple manager had lodged a complaint in this matter, after which the Govardhan police and the temple administration were searching for the missing priest.

According to the information, the sevayat (priest) of Mukut Mukharbind, the main temple of Govardhan police station area, was accused of absconding with Rs 1,09,37,200. A complaint was lodged in the police station regarding this, in which the temple manager Chandra Vinod Kaushik said that on Monday, sevayat Dinesh Chand had gone to deposit about one crore nine lakh rupees of the temple’s contract amount in Union Bank of India.

The accused priest is a resident of Dasvisa in Govardhan. He committed fraud and did not deposit the temple’s money in the bank and absconded with all the money. Since then his phone is switched off. After receiving the complaint, the police started investigating the case. The police have recovered Rs 71 lakh 92 thousand from the accused’s house. These notes were kept in sacks. Along with this, the remaining amount is being searched.

What did the Superintendent of Police say regarding the entire matter?

Regarding this entire matter, SP Rural Triguna Visen told on the phone that efforts are being made to arrest the accused. His wife has informed the police and got the money recovered from the house. 72 lakh rupees have been recovered from there. The accused is absconding right now. The temple receiver told that the investigation of the remaining money is going on, whatever appropriate action is required for recovery of whatever money is left, will be taken soon as per the court order.
