The water of Ganga has reached the statue inside the reclining Hanuman temple situated on the banks of Sangam. On Wednesday morning, as soon as Maa Ganga arrived, bells were rung. Aarti was performed and Maa Ganga was welcomed by invoking her. According to beliefs, the year in which the water of Ganga bathes Lord Hanuman in the temple, no natural disaster occurs in the country, state and city and there is peace everywhere. After the water of Ganga came to the temple, the saints and devotees performed Puja Paath and chanted mantras and raised slogans. Slowly, the water of Ganga started coming from the reclining stairs and touching Lord Hanuman and in no time the entire statue was submerged.

The only such temple in the world

Let us tell you that this is the only temple of mythological importance in the world where Hanuman ji is lying down and appears to his devotees in this resting posture. Even now the water level of Ganga and Yamuna in Sangam city is much below the danger mark. Every year the people here eagerly wait for such a flood in the Ganga that the water of Ganga enters the Hanuman temple and Bajrang Bali can be anointed with Ganga water. The doors of the temple have now been closed. The temple will remain closed as long as the water of Ganga remains here. After the water level decreases, the temple will be opened again for the devotees after performing Puja.
