According to the information received, the court has refused to grant anticipatory bail to former IAS trainee Pooja Khedkar. Additional Sessions Judge Devendra Kumar Jangla said the Delhi Police should “also investigate whether anyone in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) helped Khedkar”. The judge also expanded the scope of investigation in the case and directed the Delhi Police to probe whether other candidates had availed benefits under the OBC and PWD quota without being eligible.

During the hearing, the counsel appearing for the prosecution as well as the UPSC opposed the plea, claiming that Khedkar had “cheated the system”.
