A video has surfaced from Maharashtra’s capital Mumbai which will shock you. Actually some policemen were trying to trap a man by putting drugs in his pocket. However, their cleverness did not work and now the policemen themselves are caught in this mess.
After the video went viral, action was taken against them and four policemen were suspended. Their entire act was captured in the CCTV camera installed above.
Four policemen were booked
This action has been taken against them after CCTV video of them trying to falsely implicate the person surfaced. Regarding this, a senior officer said that during the raid, policemen are seen placing drugs in the pocket of a person in the CCTV footage. Four policemen have been suspended after the video went viral.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajtilak Roshan said the suspended policemen included a sub-inspector and three constables. Sources said policemen belonging to the anti-terrorist squad of Khar police station raided a plot in the Kalina area of the city on Friday evening and detained a man named Daniel.
But CCTV footage of the incident showed a policeman putting something in the suspect’s pant pocket. Speaking to a local news channel, Daniel claimed that the policemen first threatened to implicate him in a Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) case, but let him go when they realised their actions were captured on CCTV cameras.
DCP Roshan said that disciplinary action was initiated against four policemen for not following the prescribed procedure and suspicious activities seen in the video. They have been suspended pending investigation.
He said, “They reached the spot after getting information about the drugs, but whatever they did is visible in the CCTV.” A colleague of Daniel, while talking to the news channel, alleged that there is a dispute over the plot on which this incident took place and he was targeted at the behest of a builder.
